PsychoLab: The Silence of Christmas Night

Christmas Eve dawned, but the festive spirit eluded the small town. The events of the past few weeks had left the residents in an eerie state of anticipation. The dreams, which had grown increasingly dark since Frankenstein Friday, had reached a new intensity. Even the children, who usually waited eagerly for their presents, seemed restless. It was as if the town itself was holding its breath.

There was no peace in the PsychoLab that evening. Dr. Eva Stein and her team had decided to work on Christmas Eve as well, as the frequencies they had observed since the strange dreams began to appear had changed in the last few days. They were no longer constant—they were pulsating, becoming stronger, as if heading toward a climax.

The strange frequency

"The signals are clear," said Clara Winter as she analyzed the data. "It's as if the frequency points to tonight. We can't miss this moment."

The frequency seemed to be coming directly from the area surrounding the large Christmas tree in the city center, whose top was adorned with a shining star. But what puzzled the scientists was the fact that the residents' dreams also shared a common symbolism: The star appeared in every dream, shining ever brighter, until it finally became a dark hole that swallowed everything.

A nighttime operation

At 11 p.m., the PsychoLab team decided to investigate the situation on site. The icy wind bit their faces, and they pulled their warm PsychoLab hoodies tighter around them and pulled their beanies down over their ears. The PsychoLab logo , discreetly emblazoned on their chests and hats, sparkled in the silvery starlight. The contrast between the darkness of the night and the glitter of the logo seemed to intensify the eerie atmosphere.

Equipped with portable scanners and sensors, Dr. Stein and her colleagues went to the Christmas tree. The square was deserted, the city lingering in an eerie silence. The tree itself seemed to detach itself from its surroundings—an eerie glow emanated from it, seeming unreal in the clear winter night.

"Look at this," whispered one of the technicians, pointing to the star at the top of the tree. "It's not just a decoration. It's... active."

The team's scanners registered a massive energy emanating from the star. As Clara Winter tried to approach, the star suddenly began to glow more intensely. The sensors went berserk, and a deep, vibrating sound broke the silence. It was as if the star were responding to the team's presence.

The moment of collapse

At exactly midnight, it happened: The star at the top of the tree exploded in a dazzling flash of light that illuminated the entire square. For a moment, time stood still. As the light faded, the tree lay dark and lifeless, its lights extinguished, its top destroyed.

But what shocked the team was that they all experienced the same moment—a collective vision. They saw themselves in an endless white expanse, in which a massive door suddenly appeared, flanked by two shining stars that slowly faded into deep darkness. A voice, mechanical and deep, spoke to them: "You have dared to take the next step. The truth awaits you."

What's next?

Back in the PsychoLab, the team tried to make sense of the events of that night. The energy released by the star was gone, but its effects were still felt. The townspeople's dreams had changed—they were now silent, like the end of one chapter before the next begins.

"This was no accident," said Dr. Stein. "Whatever we experienced tonight was just the beginning. Christmas will never be the same again."

Until the next revelation

Christmas Eve raised questions that will occupy the PsychoLab team in the coming weeks. What did the vision of the door mean? And why did this mysterious force choose Christmas Eve to reveal itself? The answers await—in dreams, in signs, and in the darkness.
